About NIFT

NIFT entrance exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate design programs at 17 NIFT campuses across India. It is the most prestigious fashion and design entrance exam in the country. Programs include B.Des, B.FTech, MFM, M.Des, and MFTech across various specialisations.

Eligibility Criteria

UG Programs: • 10+2 or equivalent from any stream. • Minimum 50% marks in qualifying exam. • Age: Maximum 23 years (28 for SC/ST/PwD). PG Programs: • Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 50% marks. • No age limit for PG programs.

Exam Pattern

UG (B.Des): • Phase 1: CAT (Creative Ability Test) — 3.5 hours • Phase 2: GAT (General Ability Test) — 2 hours • Situation Test (shortlisted candidates): 3D model making • Final Merit: CAT (50%) + GAT (30%) + Situation Test (20%) UG (B.FTech): • Only GAT — 2 hours
